SIDIES Black Pickled Garlic is the traditional pickle for the Persian New Year! This is a kind of pickle to age and ideally, you’d want it aged 7-years! The longer you age it the more special it becomes. SIDIES Black Pickled Garlic is packed at 3-months aged and we craft our brine in a way that it gives it a similar taste to the older ones. The garlic is peeled, raw, and crunchy!
Black pickled garlic is traditionally served at the Persian New Year with green rice, which is Basmati rice brewed with a variety of herbs, and fish. While fish dishes are a perfect pairing, our customers enjoy slicing the garlic over cheese sandwiches, noodles and wontons.
This sweet-sour, aged pickled garlic should NOT be refrigerated! It is best to keep it in a dark place at room temperature.
